Bella wanted to watch the Wizard of Oz over and over on this trip. My mom and I were trying to figure out directions and we were talking about being in Kansas City, Kansas vs Kansas City, Missouri. Bella heard us and said, "she (Dorothy) said we're not in Kansas anymore." So I don't know it was Bella's knowledge or our neat GPS navigator (borrowed from Brian's Dad) that helped more!
Lucy just loved playing with the cute baby in the mirror in the hotel room.
Bella borrowed Daddy's hat and Mommy's necklace as she waited for us to get ready.
Lucy practiced her walking and did her scrunched up smile that she does when she is really happy.
Lucy sported the flapper girl look on the way to the game.
Bella wore the orange and black tutu made on the trip to KC (thanks Carrie for the instructions!). I was going to make one for Lucy too, but it would have made her way too hard to carry.
You may notice that Bella failed to return my necklace! :)
How do you entertain a 3 year old girl at a basketball game? Well...
snow cones!
and popcorn!
and icees! Actually, it was a Quiktrip "freezoni"- they had a Quiktrip inside of the arena! Bella, as you can tell, was much more interested in her freezoni than smiling for a picture with Uncle Dave.
My mom and I even took the girls to an antique show while the guys were at the games (we just went to the OSU ones). For the record, we did lots of other fun shopping too, and the girls didn't go on all of those outings with us (thank you to Daddy and Papa for watching them). Bella was really good at the antique show- she got so excited looking at all of the neat things:
:)
Thanks Momo and Papa for a fun trip!
