Bella-isms, holiday edition

Bella has had some more funny things to say lately.

A couple related to Christmas:

*I asked her if she would like for her stocking to say "Annabella" or "Bella"...she said "I want it to have All my Bella"

*We watched "It's a Wonderful Life" together- another Hudson family tradition. I was amazed that she was sat through a black and white movie and even asked to watch again the next night. During the part where the angels are talking and they show the sky with the stars twinkling as they speak, Bella said, "but if they are angels, where are their noses and their legs?"

And some others:

*We were at a restaurant and Bella had grabbed Lucy's toy Hippo and was playing with it.

She said "(This Hippo) has di ria."

"What?" I asked.

"It has di ria," she said a little louder.

"It has what, honey?"

"It has DI A RIA," she said loudly enough that some people turned around to see just who (or in this case what) had diarrhea. And I have no idea why she thought the poor hippo was suffering from it.

*We were at an OSU basketball game and my mom and I were sitting with Bella and Jack as they ate some popcorn and had some Sprite. Jack suddenly announced with pride that he had swallowed a whole piece of ice. My mom and I gave him a short lecture on how swallowing ice whole was a very BAD idea, and that he could choke on it, or at the very least could melt in his throat and that would hurt. A couple minutes later, Bella's eyes filled with tears and she said SHE had swallowed a piece of ice and she was terrified about it. She cried herself to sleep right there at the game.

Ever since then (last week), she has asked me about almost every morsel of food that goes in her mouth..."Mommy, if I eat peanut butter (or green beans, or pizza, or cereal, or an apple...), will I melt?"

So I guess she thought we meant she and Jack were going to melt because they swallowed ice. Poor thing!
