Water Fun

Last weekend, my mom and I took the girls to eat at the Riverwalk. The men of our family went to see the OSU spring football game. We try to do something fun when they "abandon" us for sports. As usual, Bella's favorite part of going there is being able to dance on the stage after dinner. They both liked going to see the fountain too. It started out as just looking at the fountain. Then, they were running around it.
Pretty soon, as anyone might of guessed, they were getting wet. Lucy thought it was hilarious to stick her hand in the water. It was even more fun to try to get Bella to do it!
When we got home, since they were already slightly wet, I let them put on their rain boots and go jump in some puddles. The only problem was that there were worms in some of the puddles. Ewww. They did not want to jump in puddles that had worms. Each puddle had to be inspected before jumping.
She found some worms!
Ahhh- a nice big, worm-free puddle. Perfect!
Lucy really had fun once she learned what to do.
Bella moved on to dandelions after her feet got a little wet from all that splashing.
Then yesterday, I could not get Lucy to come downstairs. She kept saying "I coming," but she wasn't appearing. Finally, I went up to get her and I found her at the sink where she and Bella had just washed their hands. The water was still running and Lucy was wet from her belly up. She told me "I maka (making) my hair pretty." Yes, Lucy, so pretty.

Oh I am laughing over here! First, I love that you let them put on rain boots and jump in the puddles. SO FUN! And I love the story of Lucy fixing her hair...

Sutton is WAY into water...I find him all of the time "washing" his hands somewhere....
