The Little Girl Named Potata

On the way home from Bella and Lucy's first day of summer preschool this week, Bella had some funny things to say.

She was excited that her class doesn't have to take naps anymore. They just have a rest time, and they get to read books quietly. She told me that during rest time, she was laughing with her friend about "animals wearing underpants."

I thought this was especially funny because her teacher (a sweet lady that Bella has had before) had just told me that Bella is such a "lady." I kind of laughed at that, and she said, "no, I mean, she really is such a little lady." That was a nice compliment, but I'm guessing her teacher didn't hear her laughing during rest time about animals wearing underpants!
Then I asked her what her friend's name was and she said that her friend's name was "Potata." Hmmmmm. I couldn't help but laugh at that, which frustrated Bella a little bit. She insisted that the girl's name was Potata, and then wondered out loud why her parents would name her that.

After with consulting Lisa, the mom of Bella's best bud and classmate, Britton, we think the "animals wearing underpants" is from a funny book about just that.

However, we were unable to determine Potata's real name...I can hardly wait to look at the class list tomorrow to try to figure that out! :)

***UPDATE: Found out today, Potata = Tatum***

Okay, I laughed out loud about Potata=Tatum! I love it when they say funny things, and we laugh (as we should) and then we get in trouble for laughing!

Sutton told me to "Honk ka corn" the other day...I finally figured out he was saying "Honk your horn"

It was so good to run into you at Target the other day! Sounds like you all are off to a great summer!
