Lucy's Sweet Party

This picture pretty much sums up Lucy's birthday party: Sugar, sugar everywhere!
A few months ago when I came up with Lucy's party theme, I mentioned it to my mom. She offered to make aprons for all of the party guests, and of course I took her up on it! So, after lots of fabrics, lots of fittings with Bella and Lucy, and lots of hours sewing...
Cute, cute, cute aprons, handmade by my talented mom!
Lots of ruffles- too bad we had to leave them off of the boys' aprons!

Bella and Lucy before the (fun) mess began...

We decorated chef hats:
Jake was so excited about wearing his, can't you tell? Then we decorated cupcakes. As you may imagine, just as much of the decorations went into little mouths as did on the cupcakes. For instance, this little one was eating spoonfuls of mini chocolate chips, plus quite a few sprinkles! I think this look says: Mom, you aren't REALLY going to take away these chocolate chips from the BIRTHDAY GIRL, are you?

Sprinkles on Leyton...just because he missed his mouth a couple of times!

Then it was time for the pinata full of candy, of course! Because those kids needed some more sugar.
We pinned the cherry on the cupcake!
Lucy had lots of help unwrapping her gifts! A cookie set! Don't worry, the cookies aren't real. We're health nuts after all.
I'm not sure why Bella looks so sad in this picture...maybe October seems like a long time away? There were several little munchkins running around the backyard and not wanting to get in this group picture. They were a bit hyped up, and I can't imagine why!
