Deck the Halls

Our halls actually aren't very "decked" this year. We put down hardwood floors this month, and not even all of our furniture is back in place from that. We did make our annual trip to pick out a Christmas tree. It was freezing outside, and most everyone had lost their power due to a bad ice storm. The tree lot was only dimly lit, but were able to quickly find the tree and head home. We were among the very few fortunate ones not to lose power at all.
Bella loved putting on the ornaments, and telling us where each ornament should go. Lucy enjoyed looking at all of the pretty, shiny ornaments we were getting out, and of course the lights. Bella got to put the star on top, scaring her Mommy to death as Daddy held her on top of a ladder and reached her to the top of our very tall tree!
And now, off to wrap more presents, decorate more cookies, clean the house (so it can become lost in wrapping paper and toys tomorrow, of course), and make sure everyone on our list is taken care of! :)





If Lucy could talk, I'm pretty sure she would have said "Seriously?"
